Bruxelles sans telBruxelles sans tel

A little less reachable. A little more together.

Together,
at a slower pace.

Time without your phone. Time for yourself. And encounters that begin when you look up.

In Brussels. Solo or with friends. All languages welcome.

Participants talk around a candlelit table.
Who owns our days? Time is ours.Bruxelles, hors ligne.
The freedom to be unreachable.Making room to be here.

The experience

Nothing to prove.
Just be here.

A book, a notebook, a conversation. A place to share, where we stop being available everywhere else.

01

Arrive. Settle in.

Your phone checks into our Phone Hotel, or stays switched off and out of sight. Find a seat and take your time.

02

Silence, together.

Read, write, draw, daydream. Do what you enjoy. The presence of others is enough.

03

Then, we meet.

Look up. Share a few words or a drink. There is no pressure to talk or introduce yourself perfectly.

See you soon

Meeting each other, differently

Meeting each other.
Again. Differently.

Without a screen between us, we make ourselves available to the people who are here. A question, a smile, a conversation with nothing to prove.

Silence, shared

In a world of your own.
In a place we share.

Connecting differently also means being able to share silence. Read, write or simply be here: keep your own space, without being entirely alone.

Two people read and write in notebooks by candlelight.
Time for yourself, in the presence of others.
People read in a bright room, seated on the floor and on chairs.
Together, without doing the same thing.

Follow a thought to its end.

A participant in a red jumper reads among the tables in a bar.
Among others, a moment for yourself.

Being constantly reachable has become the default. We want to make it a choice again: to leave a message unanswered, follow a thought to its end, give our attention to someone who is here.

The freedom to be unreachable is something we can build together. In a place where nobody expects an instant reply, a post or a performance. Where you can simply take part.

Before you join

A few questions.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Come solo or bring someone. You don’t need to know anyone to find your place.

Do I have to hand over my phone?

Our Phone Hotel can look after it during the event. If you prefer to keep it, switch it off and put it out of sight. What matters is sharing time without screens.

Are we silent the whole time?

Our gatherings make room for shared silence and conversation. We can be together without speaking, then let conversations unfold. The programme varies between editions.

Which language do people speak?

All languages are welcome. French, English and Dutch naturally mix. You don’t need to speak all three.

What can I bring?

A book, a notebook, drawing materials or a quiet activity you enjoy. You can also bring nothing and enjoy the moment.

How do I book and check the price?

Each event has a page on Luma with its venue, programme, price and available tickets. Timing and accessibility depend on the venue.

Familiar places, a different experience

Brussels.
At another pace.

A terrace, a bar, a cultural space. Different places, the same invitation: put your phone away and notice what is here.

For more than two years, we have hosted phone-free pop-ups across Belgium. Today, Brussels is our home base: recurring gatherings, places with character and a community that takes time to meet again.

Participants read in a bar with hanging lamps and plants.
A bar becomes somewhere to settle in.
Two people read at outdoor café tables beneath parasols.
There is room to slow down outside, too.
